Eyes Wide Open, the American Friends Service Committee’s exhibition on the human cost of the Iraq War will be on view May 29 & 30, 2006 at Franke Park, 3411 N. Sherman Blvd, Fort Wayne, IN. Returning to Indiana after two years, the exhibit features a pair of boots honoring each U.S. military casualty, a field of shoes and a Wall of Remembrance to memorialize the Iraqis killed in the conflict, and a multimedia display exploring the history, cost and consequences of the war. Pasta for Peace, a state-wide fundraising event on June 25 from 1 to 4 p.m. will bring together people from all over Indiana to talk about peace and share ideas in the beautiful and peaceful setting of The Peace and Learning Center in Eagle Creek Park.
